FROM CP'S DESK

C.V. Anand, IPS
DG & Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City
We, in Hyderabad City Police work very hard in maintaining peace and communal harmony in the city during various religious activities. Being a rapidly growing metro city, it has the highest number of CCTVs (5 Lakhs), enabling speedy detection of crimes of all kinds. Women safety in the city through SHE Teams and Bharosa Centres is regarded as the best in the country and a large team of Patrol Cars and Blue Colts ensure quick response to the Dial 100 calls. The Crackdown on Narcotics and Cyber Crimes, which are the upcoming new Crimes, by the Government and Police has been Commendable and led to a Safer Environment. To deal with the problems of 1.6 Crore plus population and 40 lakh floating population, the Government recently sanctioned additional posts for the re-organisation of the Hyderabad Police Commissionerate with new Zones, Divisions and Police Stations. The Headquarters of Hyderabad City Police Commissionerate is now the iconic Modern ICCC (Integrated Command & Control Centre) in Banjara Hills which also acts as the State Multi Agency Disaster Management Centre.
